Ministerial Infrastructure Designation Amendment

PROPOSED MINISTERIAL INFRASTRUCTURE DESIGNATION AMMENDMENT

168¿ª½±¹ÙÍø’s Anglican Girls School is seeking an amendment to its existing, approved master plan, to allow the development of the 168¿ª½±¹ÙÍø’s Arts Precinct (SMAP) and new classrooms south of Petrie Street.

The SMAP is the next stage of a long‑term master plan that will ensure 168¿ª½±¹ÙÍø’s retains its place among Queensland’s leading schools. The school’s large number of heritage buildings have been considered when selecting the site for the SMAP.

Heritage-listed Community House will be given new life and purpose when it is reimagined within a 168¿ª½±¹ÙÍø’s wellness centre. Two new parking facilities will take 64 parked cars off surrounding streets. The SMAP carpark will accommodate 29 cars and a loading bay, with lift access to floors above. An already-approved new staff car park will accommodate 35 vehicles on the site of the decommissioned pool.
